Port Washington, WI is building an all accessible playground.

Port Washington, WI – (December 22, 2007) Possibility Playground is Ozaukee County’s first universally accessible playground for children of all physical abilities. Located in Upper Lake Park, Port Washington, the playground will be built by the community in an old-fashioned barn-raising September 17-21, 2008.

Traditional playgrounds are often inaccessible to children with disabilities. Or at the most, offering one or two pieces of equipment that they may be able to negotiate. At Possibility Playground, ALL children will be able to play shoulder to shoulder.
