Matteo's Dream in Concord, CA and Possibility Place in Harrisburg, PA break new ground in accesibility for all children. Dennis Wille, the Leathers' designer of Matteo's Dream, said "the accessibility is pushed to an extreme". Possibility Place is the first completely accessible playground in central Pennsylvania.

in Cuddalore and Nagapattinam, India, Leathers playgrounds are helping two towns devastated by Tsunamis rebuild their communities.

The award-winning Kid's Kingdom in McLeansboro, IL brought out the strength of the community. In Dick's own words: "It still brings tears to my eyes over what an incredible experience we had. If you never experience this in a lifetime - you are surely missing something."

After arsonists set fire to Fort Natomas in Sacramento in 2006, this community decided to rebuild their playground from the ashes.
