The
Story:
This local project is one of the largest we
had undertaken up to that time. It began with extensive renovation
and an addition to an existing building. Some of the museum
exhibits are a ball machine and a water trough. The outdoor
Emerson Science Park is itself a geometry exhibit, built on a
North-South coordinate grid. Play elements include an echo tube, a
whisper dish, a suspension bridge, and a fulcrum swing.
The Sciencenter is currently working on a
second phasea large addition that will include a discovery room,
a teen technology clubhouse, an exhibit development shop, an early
childhood area, and an amphitheater.
