The Story:

We’ve built 14 projects in Australia since 1989. They are designed to comply with Australian playground standards (Playground Manual, 1998, from the Office of Recreation and Sport, Department of Industry and Trade). The time difference makes it a little more challenging for phone calls—noon Eastern time is 2 a.m. tomorrow in Australia.

The drawings are completed using metric measurements. Different types of lumber, fasteners, and slides are used. One of our consultants lives in Australia and keeps us up to date on current standards, methods, and materials.
