Step by Step
Ready to begin?
Well give you the information you
need to schedule a Design Day and begin the community-built process. Youre
bound to have questions. Call us anytime; someone from our design team will
assist you. You can reach us at (607) 277-1650.
First, youll need one or two key
volunteers to serve as General Coordinator(s). Your core committee should be
in place, which consists of coordinators for the following subcommittees:
Fundraising, Volunteers, Public Relations, Childrens, Donated and Purchased
Materials, Tools, Food, Childcare, and Special Needs.
Potential sites for your project must
be identified before Design Day. Well give you a list of things youll want
to consider, such as good visibility, ease of supervision, shade, and
existing utilities.
And most
important: involve the children early in the process! Their energy,
excitement, and creativity are the secret to the success of every
community-built project.
